Attention

The ability to attend is paramount to all other skills. For a child to learn how to speak, read, write, understand the world and concepts, he or she has to first attend to relevant cues. Some children struggle with attention, as all stimuli has the same level of saliency to them. Occupational therapy helps these children to tune in to relevant stimuli. This helps the child learn and interact better with the world.
